Good Location, But It's Not...

Liked: The best thing about this hotel is its location: it is a stone's throw away from West Brompton station, a plethora of pubs and cafes, the impressive Empress State building, padel courts and the fascinating Brompton Cemetery (excellent for history buffs).The room was spacious yet basic. At least it had a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. Overall, the hotel was not as bad as I was expecting it to be.
Disliked: Since the room was hot and stuffy (even with the window open), I requested a fan from the receptionist, who bluntly replied that "the hotel doesn't have fans". Probably the only hotel in London that doesn't provide fans during a heat wave. Shocking. In addition, the room needed a good clean: there were stains on the curtains and some dust on the floors under the beds.

Liked: Beds were clean, and shower had water.
Disliked: Very dirty. Not one clean surface. One of the draws was full of old tea bags and a used mug. The shower curtain was mouldy, cracked tiles, which again were full of dirt.

Liked: The hotel was very basic, it suited my requirments, with a little effort I am sure that the owners thats if they want to can improve the facilities.
Disliked: General asthtics and facilities
