Happiness amidst the ines
Liked: We spent two nights here and loved it.The B&B cottages are distributed across the grounds at the Kinross Vineyard, with delightful views across the vines and valley to the mountains beyond. it's an extremely attractive and restful setting. We were about 80 yards from the bistro for breakfast. The cottages have lovely verandahs for sitting out and also provide picnic rugs for use on the lawns. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, beautifully presented and serviced daily. The capacious shower was excellent. The bed was so comfortable that the first night I slept for an unbroken 8 hours, most unusual at my age.The complementary tutored wine tasting is outstanding, covering a range of first class wines, including the internationally renowned Valli Gibbston and the Wild Irishman (4 times winners of the world Pinot Noir ranking)The greatest strength of Kinross is the staff - young, cheerful, infectiously enthusiastic, and in the case of those promoting the wines (Caera and Clio), professional, knowledgeable and utterly charming.
Disliked: It's a pity that the bistro closes so early in the evening, closing at 1630, which drives you off-site for supper.

Liked: The Kinross Hotel was located perfectly within the wine region of Gibbston valley - giving you equal access to the many wineries surrounding it (as well, of course, to the one on their property. The grounds were beautiful: plenty of spaces to relax outside - on picnic tables, bean bags, etc. - room to explore the grounds that were replete with bunnies, ducks, and other birds. Their dinner (which you need to book ahead of time - by 4:30!) was delicious with a bottle of their wine (which you need to purchase from your room!). The room was very spacious, if a bit sparsely furnished (especially the bathroom). Overall, definitely recommend though!
Disliked: The breakfast was not worth the extra price - the buffet was a bit sparse for the cost ($20/pp).The property is right by the road, so you can hear passing cars on the highway (not super loud, but audible). The hot tub, which we paid extra for, was not hot. We tried adding extra water as they instructed, but it didn’t really make an impact.

Liked: Huge cottage. Very good bath/shower Wine tasting included. Picnic blanket. You could stroll the vines.
Disliked: Limited menu and opening on bistro. Pizza was pricey. We were only there for one night so probably didn’t get the best out of the property
