Nice and stylish hotel - close to all. Right next to the House of Blues, and minutes from 4th and B. Bed was super comfortable - everything was clean, modern, and nice.

Liked: Very comfortable bed and sheets.
Disliked: View was not huge.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms.
Disliked: $36 valet parking; shower settings a bit dicey.

Lovely hotel with some hidden...

Liked: The room was beautiful and well equipped. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was outstanding. Had dinner at the onsite restaurant, The Desmond, and the food was excellent, including the dessert, and the wait staff.
Disliked: Several things that people should know up front. You can ONLY valet park for $60 per night. The security guard warned us not to park in public parking across the street because of all of the homeless in the area. It was also suggested that we not "stroll the area" after dark. When we woke up the next morning, there were several people asleep on the sidewalk across the street. Besides the additional $60 for parking, there was a strange $35-ish additional fee that was added to the bill. I would rather you just tell me the price up front so that I can decide whether to stay or not. Adding charges at the end of the stay only assures that I will not be back (despite it being a lovely hotel with great food and amenities). It's like bait and switch pricing.Lastly, when I booked the room it said "Breakfast is included." This turned out to be a little misleading since what I received was a $50.00 credit towards breakfast, which, by the way, did not cover the breakfast. The breakfast was wonderful, but not inexpensive. For two people, with tip, it was approximately $75. (Two egg dishes, one coffee, one tea.) I have nothing bad to say about the hotel itself, the food, or the staff. It's the nickel and diming (or 5 dollar, 10 dollar-ing) that I have an issue with.

Disliked: The charged us for the breakfast even though it was included, this wasn't mentioned when we checked out and it was not reflected tehn. Later on I recieved an email with the 50 $ credit for the breakfast charged. We had to phone the hotel and they did sort it out,.

Liked: Love the hotel design and decor! Had a lot of personality and character, while being modern and relaxing too.Great service and value with the free check-in cocktail, and the food and beverage credit for breakfast. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had.Room was very cozy and fit all our needs as well!
Disliked: Our hotel bathroom shower drain wasn’t working, hopefully they got that fixed for future guest use

Disliked: closet space was minimal, housekeeping was not up to par, no ice machines, a lot of homeless people hanging around on the streets, bar hours could have been longer 4pm-9pm
