Comfortable, Super Clean, Affordable Stay

Liked: We loved how clean the room was, how bright and cheery it was and that they allow pets and charged a very minimal charge to have our two dogs with us. We also enjoyed our balcony/patio and beautiful view of Bear Creek which runs right behind the hotel, Hawthorne Park and Interstate 5. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had more options than many motels who serve mainly high carb options such as cereal, rolls, breads and waffles or pancakes. This buffet has all of the above with the exception of waffles or pancakes. It also includes a scrambled egg mixed with cooked veggies such as onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and broccoli, also mixed with sausage or bacon. There is also country fried red potatoes (delicious), plain scrambled eggs and/or hard boiled eggs. They even serve their own, homemade granola cereal and lactose free yogurt. Very retro 60s and 70s vibes throughout the hotel, very clean, nice breakfast dining area which is kept pristinely clean and well stocked. There are plenty of tables and soft, comfy chairs. Every table has pink sea salt grinder and peppercorn grinders/shakers. They provide to-go boxes upon request, but provide ceramic plates, bowls, nice actual silverware and actual glass glasses to use during your breakfast.
Disliked: The hotel is pet friendly which we appreciated immensely. However, the small designated area for pets, was far away and on complete opposite end of the hotel. Maybe that isn't a problem for someone with excellent health, but my husband and I both have chronic pain caused by osteoarthritis, past injuries (my husband has a broken back and neck from 2 separate accidents) and he's had 18 sugeries so far during his life. All of the above conditions are extremely painful. So it was difficult, painful and inconvenient to have to walk the dogs so far everytime either one or both had to go potty. Our youngest dog is only 7 5 months old, therefore, she has a smaller bladder and has to go more often, so she had a really difficult time walking the long distance and often peed or didn't make it to the pet area.

Fabulous

Liked: The room was small but comfortable. There was road noise but no enough to keep me awake.
Disliked: The overall layout is a little strange. The lobby is not connected to the main building of rooms.

Un settleing

Liked: The check in staff was nice friendly. Very helpful and was concerned that I know where everything is here at the motel.
Disliked: I stayed 11/2-11/3 and each day I went into the office and gave them my debit card to pay for each nights stay. Today I went to the office to do the same thing and A lady named Jamie checked me out, I was under the impression I was extending my stay, so said no she checked me out. Therefore she used my debit card to pay for the previous day, which I don?t understand I gave her a different debit card. Each day I used a different debit card, I told her that they had already taken the payments off the 2 previous debit cards. She said no they didn?t. So my friend that was standing there with me asked her so where?s the money from the other cards?? Jamie replied she didn?t know. So I had to go back across town and put more money on my chime debit card. I came back a little while later and she was just leaving. So a man checked me in. When I came into the office at first I told Jamie that I had talked to another lady at the front desk around 10 am. Jamie said we?ve got to get this moving I feel that was rude of her due to the fact it was around noon and usual check in isb3pm. I?m unsettled about what happened to the money on the ptherb2 stays . I?m 60 years old I don?t need a person checking me into a motel that I?m paying to stay at being Short and Rude.
