Beautiful B&B with an exceptional...

Liked: Beautiful B&B in an old manor. The owners were very kind. The breakfast was exceptional, by far the most delicious meal we had in Sherbrooke. There were also multiple dining spaces so you'll have a private breakfast away from other guests.
Disliked: The beds were large, but a little springy. It was not a problem for sleeping, but not the comfiest if you just want to relax during the day.

Disappointing stay! Never again.

Liked: Beautiful building, nice clean room and a lot of effort had been put into breakfast.
Disliked: Bed was way too high, especially for someone, like me, who does not have long legs.Reception was anything but friendly. We didn't really feel welcome. Check-in was only possible from 5 pm, which is very late. We were too early but the host did not even allow us to stand in the hall, the door was opened a crack and we were asked to leave and come back an hour later. It was not even asked kindly but ordered.When we returned we were received by the hostess who was noticeably friendlier. Due to covid (???), we were asked to wear terry cloth slippers. You were allowed to leave your shoes in the hall. Very weird!The host refused to speak English with us and because we do not speak French fluently and we are from the Netherlands, the host thought we should speak German with him...That is not our idea about hospitality.At breakfast, which was very tasty, the host stood there like a sergeant major, keeping an eye on whether you were finishing your plate properly. Because I had a strange teapot and didn't know how it worked, I spilled some tea and got reprimanded like I was a little child.In summary: disappointing stay! Never again.
