This hotel is awesome. I've actually stayed here before but didn't realize how close it was to my venue. I love how the ConcertHotels website tells you how far everything is and walking times - not just miles like the others do. The Hudson hotel is a boutique style hotel that has different unique bars and a beautiful roof top garden and tequila bar. It is clean and convenient and fairly priced for the city! Contrary to some of the other reviews I love the entrance with its yellow glowing escalators as the only light to the lobby - to me that is inviting, and the dark wood throughout isn't dark and gloomy - it's beautiful! If you want blinding lights and glass try Times Square. This hotel is everything it says it is and that's refreshing for a change!
Liked: Easy check in and out with plenty of staff so barely a wait compared to what you can experience in the city.
Disliked: OK as everyone said, yes the rooms are small but you can upgrade to a larger one and the square feet is given next to the room types so they are not hiding anything.

The entrance to the hotel is not inviting - dark and gloomy. There is no uniform dress so it's difficult to determine bell captains from pedestrians. Rooms are much too small, especially considering the price - no amenities - no room service, no restaurant, not even coffee setup for room. The only restaurant available only served breakfast and limited to a Continental breakfast. The hallways are dark and ugly - the rooms are clean and simply but effectively decorated. The outlet in the bathroom, instead of being located by the sink/mirror area, was located on a back wall.
Liked: Rooms are clean; valet parking; conveniently located.
Disliked: Depressingly dark lobby; small rooms; no room service; no hotel restaurant.

Liked: The location was great, near central park.
Disliked: The rooms were so small I could hardly move without bumping into something. The bathroom so cramped my knees touched the wall while on the toilet. There was no maid service due to corona, not sure how that makes it better if nothing is clean. Every single day I was told to pay a different amount for a security deposit but never explained why. First it was $25, then $36, then $50 just random amounts and I never got it all back when leaving and was never told why. The one time I asked for something from the maid service I had to buy the person a cup of coffee for bringing it. The heat stayed on the entire time I was there, I was so hot but no way to adjust it.

It's value stay.
Disliked: The heater did not work properly. The room was really cold. The window insulations were not good, causing outside noise to come in.

The WORST HOTEL IN NYC
Liked: The discreet hands off staff that does not give u so much as a glance when walking by unless u are doing something to annoy them or against their ?moral COVID code?.
Disliked: From check in to check out it was absolutely atrocious. The staff was completely rude and unhelpful when checking me in. They are very ghetto and judgemental as I was dressed as a regular sweatshirt jeans type you would think they were speaking to a street begger. After 30 minutes of BS that they ?couldn?t find my reservation? or that my card wasn?t going through they checked me into a dirty used room. I called the front desk 100 times with no answer , even tried calling the desk from my cell and nothing. I proceeded to use my own clothing as a sheet and went to sleep. I will never stay at this place again. Two thumbs down.

Liked: Receptionist was very nice and helpful. We liked her a lot.
Disliked: no ac for the 1st night. 2nd day it was fixed,. Went out all day came back and it was not working and very hot once again. So uncomfortable. had to go down top reception and back up multiple times switched rooms and then that ac didn't work. Got to a 3rd room (every time we had to go back downstairs from 7th floor to reception and back up ) 3rd room had ac but was smaller. we didn't care. packed our things and unpacked our things then tv didn't work and that's what we planned on doing for the evening.
