Brittany, Highland, visiting Pacha New York Mon, 7 October 2013

This hotel is awesome. I've actually stayed here before but didn't realize how close it was to my venue. I love how the ConcertHotels website tells you how far everything is and walking times - not just miles like the others do. The Hudson hotel is a boutique style hotel that has different unique bars and a beautiful roof top garden and tequila bar. It is clean and convenient and fairly priced for the city! Contrary to some of the other reviews I love the entrance with its yellow glowing escalators as the only light to the lobby - to me that is inviting, and the dark wood throughout isn't dark and gloomy - it's beautiful! If you want blinding lights and glass try Times Square. This hotel is everything it says it is and that's refreshing for a change!

Liked: Easy check in and out with plenty of staff so barely a wait compared to what you can experience in the city.
Disliked: OK as everyone said, yes the rooms are small but you can upgrade to a larger one and the square feet is given next to the room types so they are not hiding anything.

Diana, Pound Ridge, NY Mon, 27 August 2012

The entrance to the hotel is not inviting - dark and gloomy. There is no uniform dress so it's difficult to determine bell captains from pedestrians. Rooms are much too small, especially considering the price - no amenities - no room service, no restaurant, not even coffee setup for room. The only restaurant available only served breakfast and limited to a Continental breakfast. The hallways are dark and ugly - the rooms are clean and simply but effectively decorated. The outlet in the bathroom, instead of being located by the sink/mirror area, was located on a back wall.

Liked: Rooms are clean; valet parking; conveniently located.
Disliked: Depressingly dark lobby; small rooms; no room service; no hotel restaurant.

Liked: The area
Disliked: Staff really rude I checked in at 7 pm and I did not get any a/c in the room until 11.30pm where I had to speak to the general manager on duties to have a new room. I do not recommend it

Looks good on the surface...

Liked: The location is good and it looks cool on the surface.
Disliked: We had to request pillowcases 4 times before they were finally brought to our room. We started asking for cases when we checked in at 7pm and we finally had a visit from room service at 2am. The nightclub on the lobby level is unclean and service is terrible. $32 for a draft beer and a martini in the main bar seems excessive given there are no waiters. The nice roof deck closes at 8pm on Saturday nights. We were woken up at 7am on our final day by construction workers literally hanging outside our open windows. Our windows were open because we could not get the fan or air conditioner to work.

Disasterous - we moved to...

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Room dirty & no clean towels or linen; hotel also dirty & badly maintained. The room smelled & there was evidence of a rodent problem. Bathroom was tiny & badly designed. Lighting was poor in the room & in general. The bed was hugely uncomfortable.

Needless to say, I will...

Liked: The location is the only benefit this "hotel" offers.Nothing else.
Disliked: With over 800 rooms and not enough staff, this hotel is unable to offerany type of hospitality. The rooms are dated and dirty. I stayed therefor 6 nights and found a piece of gum stuck to the bathroom wall. As atest I decided to leave it to see how many days it would take thecleaning staff to take it down. It never happened... The isolation fromthe windows and room door is absolutely zero. Noisy beyond belief, evenon the 19th floor! This is a tourist trap, which has taken some nicepictures for (stay away!)
