This hotel is awesome. I've actually stayed here before but didn't realize how close it was to my venue. I love how the ConcertHotels website tells you how far everything is and walking times - not just miles like the others do. The Hudson hotel is a boutique style hotel that has different unique bars and a beautiful roof top garden and tequila bar. It is clean and convenient and fairly priced for the city! Contrary to some of the other reviews I love the entrance with its yellow glowing escalators as the only light to the lobby - to me that is inviting, and the dark wood throughout isn't dark and gloomy - it's beautiful! If you want blinding lights and glass try Times Square. This hotel is everything it says it is and that's refreshing for a change!

Liked: Easy check in and out with plenty of staff so barely a wait compared to what you can experience in the city.
Disliked: OK as everyone said, yes the rooms are small but you can upgrade to a larger one and the square feet is given next to the room types so they are not hiding anything.

The entrance to the hotel is not inviting - dark and gloomy. There is no uniform dress so it's difficult to determine bell captains from pedestrians. Rooms are much too small, especially considering the price - no amenities - no room service, no restaurant, not even coffee setup for room. The only restaurant available only served breakfast and limited to a Continental breakfast. The hallways are dark and ugly - the rooms are clean and simply but effectively decorated. The outlet in the bathroom, instead of being located by the sink/mirror area, was located on a back wall.

Liked: Rooms are clean; valet parking; conveniently located.
Disliked: Depressingly dark lobby; small rooms; no room service; no hotel restaurant.

My stay itself was good...

Liked: I loved the location. Close to the subway. Walking distance to everything although I didn't get a chance to see it all. The staff were excellent. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was very kind in my time of need, had a family tragedy and he was compassionate and professional
Disliked: The picture of the room was disceptive. It was shoebox size. The bed fitted the room. If you are claustrophobic, you will struggle.

Liked: The location was the best thing for me. I was close enough to walk to Central Park and Carnegie Hall! excellent choice
Disliked: No free coffee in the morning. When we were up early to catch a flight, we had to walk to a coffee shop.

Liked: Excellent location near Central Park and transit. Whole foods across the street. Perfect location as we were running the half marathon that starts in Central Park. Excellent cleaning staff.
Disliked: Staff at the front did not seem interested, very expensive valet parking (65$/night), very small rooms but comfortable bed b

Alexis Fri, 8 December 2017

Liked: The location was great, it's close to central park and public transportation, and just steps from ninth avenue's many restaurant options.
Disliked: The rooms need updating--the bathrooms are particularly shabby. Also, this hotel is not particularly family-friendly in terms of the rooms, most of which are designed for a single/couple. Also, the bars were disappointing, no actual barstools was weird.

Kenneth Fri, 8 December 2017

Liked: Location for price point! 2 blocks from Central Park, 10 minute walk to Time Sq.
Disliked: Room was a bit small. Maid cleaning issues. Under the bed dusty and dirty. AC was leaking down window onto wall - could have an issue of mold if not corrected. Couldn't use balcony - we understand why. Need to clean it up and or stage it.

Liked: The location was nice.
Disliked: The standard room was extremely small. I'm 5'5, slender and felt suffocated in that room. The bathroom was like a small closet. I had barely any room to move around in there. I would definitely never stay at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it.
