Sweet old hotel. Great staff. Clean and very quaint. Right downtown, close to shopping. Our first time in St. Helena.

Staff makes you feel welcome. Charming, old time feel. There are no bells and whistles, however, it's very relaxing, no hustle and bustle. And best of all, no minimum stay required, even on the weekend.
Liked: Nice staff. No minimum stay.

Great location, tiny outdated rooms
Liked: Location right in town.
Disliked: While the hotel definitely has charm, our room was absolutely minuscule and everything was so outdated. Would have expected more for the steep price.

Liked: "Hotel St. Helena"
This hotel is a very unique Napa Valley experience. It is historic and full of charm. Located right in downtown St. Helena among wine bars and art galleries. For us, the price, location, and historic experience meant it was still worth it! Friendly staff too, Robin was delightful and informed us of some local activities. Definitely recommend!
Disliked: Our room was small, and had a shared bathroom. This is a "2-Star" hotel so expect that level of amenities when you book.

I'd not recommend this hotel...
Liked: Hotel at central of busy Helena. Easy to walk around for coffee, drinking, eating. A few good restaurants close by. Not far away form some great wine tasting.
Disliked: One person staff. Not helping at all. Charged $60 for a pull out for my kid. No Refrigerator, no iron, no room air conditioning. Room is old and dirty but expensive for 2 nights ($617.00).

Disliked: I chose this "hotel" for the amenities listed and the services (wine and champagne bar + a coffee bar. We arrived at 4:30 the day of check in. The desk woman gave us our key, explained where our room was - up very steep stairs with no elevator and no help! She escorted us up the stairs. We asked for an extension cord to plug in a cpap. She said she didn't have one but there was a plug behind the bed (which was a queen and not moveable! She then told us that she was leaving and would be back the next morning at ten am! I asked about the wifi and she gave me the code. When I couldn't connect she said "oh well, that sometimes happens upstairs!" The wine bar? CLOSED. The coffee bar? CLOSED. A lobby area where we could sit and connect to the wifi? CLOSED We told her that we would be leaving at 7am with an uber. Did she tell us that neither ubers or taxi's are available in St. Helena before 10am? NO NO NO. She left and we were alone in a hotel with NO SERVICES and NO HELP should an emergency arise. The bed felt like we were sleeping on a box spring. All of this for $300.00 a night. Stay away from this property if you enjoy a full service experience. This is a lousy B&B and not a HOTEL.

Disliked: Room too small, could barely walk around bed. Window wouldn?t stay open (broken) & bathroom very small. There wasn?t a place to put luggage.

Liked: Really good location in the middle of St Helena, staff were absolutely lovely!! And when we checked in early it was no problem at all
Disliked: It?s very dated, and considering the price - I feel some investment is now due
