Don't discount YHA for a...
Liked: Top level of cleaniness, bright and airy building, large common room with balcony, great shower, well equipped self catering kitchen and large dining room. The staff have a lot of time for you and are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is very good value, and tasty. Parking is controlled by ANPR camera so remember to put your reg plate into the computer and all is good and therefore you are almost guaranteed a parking spot.Access to the building 24/7 via a code, for the whole duration of your stay. A nice touch is all the rooms are named after Robin Hood characters.
Disliked: The emergency lighting green light in the room was the brightest I remember, but it really didn't affect my sleep that much. But seriously that was the only very tiny thing.

Perfect location and very comfortable
Liked: This is a modern well laid out hostel in a brilliant location which can be easily reached by bus. The facilities are very good and include a drying room, a kitchen and drinking water for filling water bottles. The room was clean and tidy and the bunk beds very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is free WiFi in the dining room and communal lounge.
Disliked: Along with quite a most of the other guests, I was self catering. Could we please have some more food storage areas? People had to park boxes of food on the floor as there was no room. There is plenty of wall space to do this as in other hostels.
