Good value for money; conveniently located. Delivered as expected and that's is a plus; don't like surprises.
Liked: Clean, friendly staff. Willing to find a lower rate for which I qualified when I checked in. Breakfast area well stocked. Nice pool.
Disliked: Fitness room was not worth walking down the hall for.

Would not stay again, was...
Liked: Beds we're very comfortable.
Disliked: We stayed on main floor, we could hear people going into their room late at night above us, shutting doors etc. The room was very dark , even with the lights on. We went to breakfast at 9:40 and it ended at 10 but ...it ends at 10 so it should still be served in good condition. The eggs were very hard and only a few in heating container. The area to eat was very small.there were 5 adults and a child and we couldn't sit together. The food was not very good at all. No fan in bathroom in the room.

Perfect Place With Everything, Near...
Liked: Everything - I have to be honest I drove from NH to Detroit in 14 hours to arrive at the Red Roof Inn which was my original reservation. I was checked into the RRI for 15 minutes before I checked out. It was horrible. I figured out there was a holiday inn express next door so I left and went there. I came onto booking.com to see if there was vacancy, and there was one room. I went into the lobby to ask what was available and I was greeted by two young gentlemen who were very friendly. He told me he only had a king suite available which was out of my price range so I booked the Queen on booking.com - he then upgraded my room to the King Suite for the same price of what I booked. That was just the beginning of the amazing customer service there. I liked the modern lobby and breakfast area. It was nice to have an ATM as well. The business center was quaint but perfect with a printer. Our room was amazing! Spacious, clean, modern, comfortable. Couch with kitchenette - very easy to work and rest. The housekeeping was on top of everything and I appreciate that. My assistant actually ended up losing here necklace and the housekeeping and lady at the front desk were more accommodating to help us find it. We never felt like we were a burden. The pool & hot tub were clean and perfect temps. They even have handicap lifts which I thought was so nice. The fitness center was clean and perfect size. I could go on and on how happy and grateful I was to stay here. It's literally located near everything and only a 15 minute drive to the Metropark where our fishing tournament was. I'll be returning and staying here every time for work.
Disliked: I really can't think of anything that could be better. Everything was great. We did have a small hiccup with a wake up call time which the manager at the front desk compensated us for without us even asking. I still give them a 10/10.

Liked: I hold membership status at the gold level and liked being familiar with what to expect from a Holiday Inn Express property.
Disliked: The bottom drawer of the chest was entirely missing, detracting from the ambiance of the room. There was no extra blanket for the bed so the air conditioning had to be entirely turned off for the night making the room stuffy and causing poor sleeping conditions. (I did not choose to call for one; I just wanted to go to sleep after a difficult day.) We went to breakfast at 7 AM and found the area stacked with boxes of supplies that partially blocked the aisles. Two women were leisurely unpacking the boxes and chatting constantly at a volume that made it difficult to hear the news broadcast on the TV. An alarm apparently set by a previous occupant woke us at 6:10 AM. The requested wake-up call was 15 minutes late. Personnel at the front desk did not acknowledge us with a farewell.
