Hotel Description
Built in 1859 this historic Jamestown hotel has its own house ghost and features an on-site restaurant and bar. Rooms include antique furniture and Yosemite National Park is 24 miles away. Guests have access to the soaking room which features an antique 2-person clawfoot tub at The National Hotel. The National Hotel Restaurant and bar are open Wednesday through Sunday and serves appetizers full menu gourmet dinner and lunch. Boxed picnic lunches are also available Wednesday through Sunday with 24 hrs. notice. Antique furniture is found in all rooms at the hotel. Each room offers individual climate control. Railtown 1897 State Historic Park is 1 mile from the hotel. Gold Prospecting Adventures is located directly across from the hotel.

Great location and a fun...

Liked: The hotel dates back to 1859, so the rooms are small but very comfortable with lots of character and, of course, upgraded. Great location in the middle of the old gold-mining town of Jamestown, within walking distance to eateries if you choose not to eat at the hotel restaurant. Staff were outstanding, so helpful.

Liked: Esthetics. Bath tub room. Saloon. Owner and staff were hospitable and welcoming. Great location! Its like you go back in time.

Lovely stay in a classic...

Liked: Lovely old western style hotel, clean comfortable room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking next to the hotel.

Liked: The hotel offers a beautiful setting, helpful, friendly staff, and tasty food and cocktails.
Disliked: There were some issues with the AC
