Liked: Location and food
Disliked: We had a problem with the toilet as it was blocked after reporting it the problem wasn’t solved, we then asked to move rooms

Exceptional

Liked: Beautiful setting stunning building complete with own ghost
Disliked: Everything location character staff architecture of building

Lovely area, nice comfortable room...

Liked: Very comfortable, evening meal took a long time to arrive, but was very nice when it did! Breakfast was also very good.Would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: Restaurant service rather slow, but they had staff problems that night so all forgiven.

Good overnight stop with excellent...

Liked: Our room was good. Really comfy bed but needed a second bedside cabinet. Easy to use shower. Staff helpful but confused with new computer system. Breakfast good but ran out of yoghurt.

No night porter

Liked: The room was nice, tidy and clean
Disliked: When I checked in I asked the guy who checked me in if there would be a night porter there overnight and he said no, he just locks the pub up and goes home.I went up to my room and felt very uneasy being a lone female guest without a night porter being there, so I had to check out and find an alternative place to stay :( I never would have booked it if I had know and I didn't see any obvious notifications during booking that this would be the case.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Had to ask for drinks replenishment, biscuits only on arrival and not every day. Beds were twins pushed together and you could feel the join, a topper would alíviate this issue. Not a lot of room in the room.

All in all very happy...

Liked: Breakfast was late opening so we were unable to get breakfast.Evening meal - there was an excellent choice of dishes which were served piping hot.
Disliked: I would have like to have been able to partake of breakfast
