Liked: Could walk to Capital One Arena; had a bar and restaurant; pretty clean.
Disliked: Very, very, old and dated - not even sure if it has air conditioning.

Liked: The room was clean and the beds were somewhat comfortable and the location was ideal for traveling to and from the sites in Washington. It was convenient to where we could get the tour buses. We were able to pay for parking in a lot a few blocks walking distance to the hotel. There was a restaurant on the premises in which you could have breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices.
Disliked: The hotel is quite old and is in need of much renovations. I was told that this is in process of being done. The room was smaller than expected but accommodating for two people during a short day.

Liked: great location, lovely walks to the main tourist spots and good shopping and restaurants close by - very easy to walk everywhere but also reliable bus and metro stops nearby, Good size rooms that were adjoining for our family- It was great to have 2 bathrooms, a table and 4 chairs and mini fridge. Comfortable beds. Loved the American President time-line in the lobby with all the chronological facts on events and inventions of each period.
Disliked: the oil heaters clanged loudly from midnight on. About every 40 mins it sounded as though someone was belting them with a hammer. Broken sleep for all the family both nights. The hot water in the shower took ages to come through. An enormous waste of water. It was a good pressured shower when it did finally heat up. Renovations appear to be happening so if the old systems are updated it would be an excellent place to stay.
