I appreciate that the facilities...
Liked: The room was mostly clean, a hair in the tub but nothing a quick wipe can’t fix. When we checked out we did inform them of the hotel being 90 degrees in our room and they provided us with a $25 Starbucks gift card after saying we should have been at least partially refunded but that the specific person at the desk did not know how to process it since our stay was through booking.
Disliked: My room was 90 degrees the entire stay, we put the air on it initially worked most of the first night but it didn’t turn over at all the second, it was late when we got back from our day out both times and we weren’t trying to complain, we initially just checked in left and came back to sleep. The first night was awful with us not getting to rest until nearly 2am, we have babies, for the fire alarm to blare above our heads around 8:30am and having to rush our babies and dogs out of the hotel thinking there was a fire, come to find out just two rooms down from us was an ammonia leak. This was traumatizing as we had a fire ourselves a year ago and lived in hotels for a short period, and being on the top floor did not help ease my anxiety in this situation as I never thought I’d have to rush out. One of my babies physically became sick between the heat and the ammonia where just hours after we checked out he had 6 seizures in a row and turned blue, he had to have oxygen given to him, my baby was rushed to the ER and I had to be in the hospital with him for over 10 hours with our dogs and toddler in the car with my husband, again not a situation we were expecting. The hospital said it was very likely from the high temperature in the room and the ammonia. This ran us up a nearly $5,000 hospital bill for a couple day’s vacation that was supposed to be relaxing. The pool room was locked during our stay the key card would not work and another guest had to let us in. The pool also was not warm as they told us it would be. We honestly would have preferred a partial refund as I do not believe even $25 on a Starbucks gift card is worth that stay. Sadly, I would have paid to avoid this stay.

It was not a relaxing...
Liked: Helpful staff in kitchen. Made extra effort to find a particular item. Front desk staff was friendly.
Disliked: When we arrived, I was asked if I had any specific request about the room that we would be assigned to. I just asked that it be in a quiet area but otherwise, I wasn’t picky. There were very few cars in the parking lot. It was not a very busy time in the area and the hotel was not very full. After we went to bed that night, we were awakened at 2:45 am by guests in the room above who seemed to be having a party with loud music and lots of tromping around until 4:00 am. We could not sleep and had a very tired day after that experience. When we complained to the front desk, we were told that someone had checked into the room above us at 2:00 am and that they were the cause of all the noise. With all the vacant rooms in the hotel and considering the late hour, I think that another room could have been assigned to the new guests. It would have been an easy problem to avoid.
