Had not stayed at a Hampton Inn before. The room was as good as any Marriott. The staff were all very friendly. Will stay here again rather than the Omni.
Liked: Lovely, large room.

Liked: great location and a healthy breakfast!
Disliked: we were booked in a handicap room, and while this was okay for us, we're hoping someone who truly needed a handicap room wasn't turned away!

Great place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of downtown Charlottesville. More for your money than some higher end hotels downtown. I'd look to stay here again next time I travel to the area.
Liked: The price point was perfect for the location. Accommodations were great, staff was friendly, and breakfast was more than enough to satisfy.

Will definitely be back!
Liked: The breakfast was delicious! Very clean and the staff made sure to keep it well-stocked (even up until 10 am when it ends). The room was very clean and quiet (given the location). I'll be back in Charlottesville in two weeks and hope to stay here again!

Convenient and good stay in...
Liked: Very comfortable bed and friendly personnel. Conveniently located close to the train station and at walking distance from Charlottesville Downtown. The free coffee and cookies when we came in were much appreciated.
Disliked: Breakfast was the worse bit of my stay.

Perfectly located for visiting C'ville,...
Liked: I stayed at this hotel before. I choose it because of its perfect location - you're right between the UVA campus (Grounds) and the downtown, both walkable within 15 minutes. Free parking is of course always nice, though I believe all the hotels in the area have free parking. Very nice little covered area with a gas fire pit outside in the back of the hotel.
Disliked: This must be the slowest elevator I've witnessed in my life. Thankfully, there are only few floors in the building, but it seems to be taking 5 seconds (!) to get through one floor. The elevator doesn't looks old or anything though, so this must be a feature :)
