Charlotte H, Colchester, visiting Electric Ballroom London Mon, 26 February 2018

We stayed at this hotel due to it's location to the Electric Ballroom and came recommended. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. We were stuck in a basement room - I appreciate we booked a standard room but even standard has certain needs. The room on arrival was freezing cold. Turned the radiator on but not much heat. Due to no window being able to be opened in the bathroom, the bathroom fills with steam and all your products end up covered in condensation. Leave the door open you would think - no, there is a sign to say the steam will set off the hotel's fire alarms. The room was very, very dated, almost like visiting your mam's house about 30 years ago. There was a chink out of the bottom of the door and a piece of wood clearly covering up a hole. Anyway, arrived back from the concert at about 11.30 that night to a room where the radiator had been left on full as we knew it would be cold. Was the room warm? No the heating was off. A nice thick duvet you would think - no, a piece of paper to be honest springs to mind. Yes, there was a blanket in the wardrobe but this was stained yellow on unfolding it, where clearly it had been stored and not cleaned for many years. Would I stay here again? Not a chance and I won't be recommending it to anyone I'm afraid!

Liked: Location.
Disliked: All.

Good location as close to gig I was attending and also Camden Market. I was staying in a room by myself, but for some reason they gave me a room with a double and a single bed. The plug sockets were oddly placed as none near the beds for when you want to charge the phone overnight and need it near you for alarm or for use whilst charging. The TV was quite small for the size of the room. Woke up early to have a shower and had to run the water for about 30 minutes just to be able to be at room temperature. So basically had a cold shower. Also no hairdryer in room. Hotel seemed clean and staff were average.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: Shower.

Kristina C, Staffordshire, visiting Roundhouse Camden Wed, 7 October 2015

Room was very big and nice, lovely and clean. Good mirrors; good working shower. Was nice to have a fan as the room got quite warm. Staff pleasant; price was brilliant; will be returning.

Liked: Very clean.
Disliked: Lighting broken.

Good budget hotel stay in...

Liked: Location, comfy bed, good TV.
Disliked: Wi-Fi is only free for 20 minutes per day and requires registration. Bathroom sink was part blocked so held water in the sink longer than it should. No fan in the bathroom (or not one working anyway), which is really needed in a room without a window for ventilation.

Ok except there car park...

Disliked: When you get there you find out you have to pay £15 for there car park, when it suppose to be free and provided for customers that are staying. First time ever i heard this in my life.

Liked: Handy for the zoo.
Disliked: Plug in sink didn't work. Bare wires hanging out of ceiling light. Bed was a bag of springs very uncomfortable. Cut my circulation. £15 overnight parking for disabled a bit extortionate. Serving a pint of Guiness into a lager glass with a stem very unusual.
