Liked: Good location.Parking. Easy walk into Wrexham. Easy to get to from main road. Access to rooms was great as you don?t have to go past reception once checked in. Owner was friendly and kept in touch via mobile if needed. I felt at ease there. Good price. Breakfast option if want and willing to pay.
Disliked: Single room was a little small. I would have like a big bed.

Liked: The location was good but that is the only positive thing we can say about it.
Disliked: When we arrived, we were about to walk to the reception to check in when the manager came out asking if I was 'Ian' and insisted I had booked under the wrong name. If this wasn't odd enough, we were then questioned over why we had booked a twin room when she had double beds for couples - my wife and I felt we had to explain our sleeping arrangements to a complete stranger. Then payment was asked for again despite the fact she could easily access our card details on to put the payment through. We were then questioned over why we hadn't booked breakfast for our one year old son (he tends to eat some of ours and some baby muesli) and we felt put on the spot. We then got to our room and found that there were no curtains - just some blinds that didn't meet and had huge gaps. This was extremely awkward as we were in the front with buses etc going past and being able to see in. The room was so cold, even when the heating finally kicked in that we could see our breath and you could even see the blinds blowing from the breeze! The room was so filthy that you could write your name in the dust. The beds had clearly been made up more than a week previously because they smelt like damp and were actually damp to the touch under the duvet. The 'refreshments' in the room were appalling - pot of sugar had gotten so damp that all of the sugar sachets were stuck together and congealed with mould spots on them. The milk was out of date, the kettle was broken and there was a fingernail that had been chewed off on the tray (plus a questionable hair under one of the cup saucers). The cherry on the cake was the mould ridden bathroom - there was so much mould all over the walls that the whole room smelt of it. The shower cubicle was mouldy and so dirty that there was black sludge dripping from the shower head! We don't have a lot of money and this was a one off trip for my Wife's graduation at the University in Wrexham.

Unhappy and will not be...

Liked: Apart from the offer of a cooked breakfast the choice was fresh fruit or great choice of cereals. The room I stayed in was fair except the heated towel rail didn't work but the room my son and daughter in law had was very poor. There was mould in the bathroom and both of them had breathing problems the next morning.....we were also concerned for my 19 month old grandson as the room was not as warm as the one I stayed in and there were no curtains. A high price for a not very pleasant stay.

Liked: Very basic single room, owner friendly. Ok for passing through.
