Nice surprise, don't hesitate, book...

Liked: The breakfast was basic but good. Both hot and cereal options. Coffee, milk, juice for beverages. BONUS, they have a cold water jug (glug-glug) dispenser in the lobby. I was able to fill up my water bottle with quality, cold water.
Disliked: It is a bit of an "interesting" neighborhood BUT there is a wonderful Charleston's restaurant in walking distance. Great local hang out and good food. That balanced the location to good!

Disliked: The room smell is too much! Too much bleach and its so suffocating! The fridge do got some food and sodas from the prev guest! We just don’t wanna move since we’re so tired from a 6 hours drive and catching a NBA game. The breakfast was a scarce with a very bland coffee. They also ask for an additional $10 charge for having my 8yo son checked in, but they offer me a room upgrade instead for an additional $17.

Liked: The hotel physically was nice looking. The room amenities met our expectations
Disliked: The management and staff are rude and either racist against native Americans or sexist against women. My wife went outside to smoke and when she came back in was confronted by the night clerk. He requested her room number and she told him and showed him her room card. He then began to interrogate her and after she refused to engage with his aggressive behavior he called up to my room to interrogate me about whether or not she was a guest. I politely confirmed she was as she was walking in, extremely shaken over the aggressive behavior. The following morning as I went downstairs for coffee, the same night clerk was glaring at me. When my children came down, he did the same to them although did not approach any of us. Shortly after the owner came in and exhibited similar glaring behavior towards us to the point we decided not to enjoy the " complimentary" breakfast due to how uncomfortable the staff here was making my family feel. The final straw was at checkout they owner wanted me to give him more money for incidentals ($25) although we had already given him an $80 deposit that he was still holding. I requested an explanation 8n which he responded that was how they do business. I politely declined and told him he could take it out of the deposit that he was already holding. They have yet to releasing the balance of what is on hold.

Liked: I chose a nonsmoking room and went outside to smoke in my vehicle. The owner of the property came outside to make sure that I was ok. That was appreciated. Especially concidering the fact that my guest had not arrived and I am a woman sitting outside alone.

Liked: We chose this hotel for the extra room provided in the suite - specifically to have a couch to relax on in the evening. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly.
Disliked: There was a limited selection for breakfast and the room with the toilet and tub/shower was quite small. We would have preferred to have a door between the bathroom sink area and the sleeping area.
