Disliked: Did not feel safe….left after 5 minutes…did not realize the hotel was being used to house migrants…security everywhere but very few women there…reviews were older

Disliked: Never got a notification that the hotel was closed, for they are hosting the refugees. Lots of security who questioned us every time we entered. If I knew beforehand I would have changed hotels but it was to late. The pool was closed as well. It was expensive for all that was happening at that hotel. Like I said thank God for lo ks on the door

Liked: The location to Stewart Airport was convenient after an international flight. Also, the room was a good size for a family of four and beds were very comfortable.
Disliked: The hotel’s external appearance was great but when entering the front door it was obvious that something was out of the ordinary; there were multiple security guards on each door, groups of young men outside smoking, a temporary check-in desk next to the main check-in area and multiple photocopied signs taped up everywhere for things like no smoking, the importance of locking doors and advertisements for English lessons. When we asked if the hotel was also being used as a hostel, the receptionist sheepishly said it was being used as a facility to house migrants whilst also serving as a hotel. Besides being a safety concern for us with our two children (given the apparent need for such severe door security) the main reasons for us booking this hotel were obsolete; there was no free shuttle bus to and from the airport, the pool was not available and the restaurant was not open, since we had not yet rented a car. This hotel is being falsely advertised and the worse thing was that we paid over $250 for our room.
