Liked: Staff was amazing, and friendly. They actually give you a tour apon your arrival. The pictures don't do this place justice it is peaceful, beautiful and filled with southern charm. There are allot of little touches and extras that really make this a great deal for what you spend. And as allot of reviews I have read the breakfast is good and worth getting up for. I'm a big boy so I could have ate more but the portions are fair and for the average person filling. If I find myself in jackson ms again i will stay here no question.
Disliked: There's really nothing bad to say.

Luxurious feeling and restful.
Liked: After several long days of travel, it was nice to have a luxurious bath and rest in the amazingly comfortable bed. We arrived after check-in, but I had called ahead and they had everything prepared. I had also mentioned that we were celebrating an anniversary, so they had a small bottle of champagne and box of chocolates for us. Such a sweet gesture.
Disliked: I ordered the Southern breakfast. I discovered that I don't like grits; I suppose I am not a Southerner nor one at heart.

Liked: The staff and room. Brunch was also outstanding.
Disliked: We like the local neighborhood but not particularly the surrounding area. I think it?s a rather dangerous area at night. We weren?t aware that the restaurant was closed on Saturday night so we had to leave Fairview to eat supper.

This is a wonderful place...
Liked: My husband and I stayed at the Fairview Inn during our daughter's wedding weekend. The rehearsal dinner at the Inn was exceptionally tasty! Our room #3 was spacious and beautiful. We never turned the TV on, because we enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the peace and quiet of the couch, love seat and leather chair located at the top of the stairs that led to our lovely bedroom. The jacuzzi tub was very relaxing after a long night or day during our daughter's wedding events, and the complimentary morning breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was beyond delicious. I suggest "Breakfast in Bed" with pecan pancakes, maple syrup and turkey link sausage, specially prepared by the Inn's chef and brought to your room by the kindest breakfast hostess.
We plan to come back to the Inn for a weekend "Staycation" getaway very soon! If you ever have plans to stay in Jackson, MS, try the Fairview Inn! It's a must stay!

We had a WONDERFUL experience!
Liked: We loved the setting, the room, and the facility. One night our room air conditioning was not working well, so Wendy did some amazing work while we were out and when we returned, the air conditioning was fixed! THANK YOU Wendy!
The 1908 restaurant was wonderful! And the guest breakfasts were great!
Disliked: The fresh fruit in the guest "canteen" area could have been fresher. The PC worked fine in the guest lounge, but the printer had some problems. I ended up having to print my document at a local Jackson printer. The facility could have notified us of the problem with Jackson water (lead), but did provide lots of bottled water.

Plenty of character but lacking...
Liked: The staff at the Library bar were very friendly and nice. The idea of the guest pantry was appealing too, although I didn't really use it. The size of the room was great and the bathroom was lovely.
Disliked: The breakfast was a real disappointment - soggy toast, slightly rancid tasting pancakes in a room where some of the tables had not been cleared yet. I paid for an extra bed for an adult and got a fold out that my feet were hanging over a little. The sheets were also 100% polyester - which felt gross. The internet was also quite slow. When we left, there was no-one to help us take out bags downstairs. In fact, we were just emailed our bill while we were still there and expected to drop off our keys, but we had to go and query an incorrect charge, which I found quite uncool. I just felt that we paid for character but didn't get quality.
