Liked: Beautiful location. Historic hotel. Pastoral grounds. Friendly staff.
Disliked: There was a steep decline in staffing since the last time I visited. Spa staff were seriously overwhelmed and could not accommodate guest requests. The manager was helpful when I shared concerns but I hope this is remedied because it impacted our spa experience which has been one of the highlights of previous stays.

Liked: The hotel bares the name of "Hotel & Spa", however, the actual spa service is extra. The hotel does have an outdoor pool which guests could use for free. However, it was impractical in the cold raining winter. The actual spa with the indoor pools, however aren't free. Guests have to pay $49 for a day pass. We was surprised to find out we had to pay extra for the spa pool. In addition, there was a waiting list for the pools and bath house, so, the service was not guaranteed if you are willing to pay. We wish the website would have that information.
Disliked: For the amount of money we paid, we expected to receive 5 star amenities. However the hotel rooms and bathrooms were date.
