Great little guest house with...
Liked: The hosts were lovely and the amount that they provided for guests in terms of organic food for breakfast and coffee etc. Was brilliant. It is well located to drive to and park but you can also walk into town in 20 mins. It was quiet and relaxing and I felt very welcome. It was more homely than your average guest house. It's also very reasonably priced if you're not looking for huge rooms and perfectly formed décor
Disliked: The rooms are quite tight and a little tired in terms of decor etc. But cosy and well appointed. The bathroom could really do with a refurb.

homely, all ingredients for quiet...
Liked: Very friendly and helpful people. The guesthouse gives an idea of how it is to live in a quiet American town. Good restaurants and city center on walking distance, but price not as high as more central hotels.
Disliked: If you don't mind having to share the bathroom with other guests, I don't see any downside in this place.

The best of Charlottesville at...
Liked: Great location, right off Meade Park and all the restaurants in Belmont. Also easy to get to the Downtown Mall. Bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Kitchen was very well stocked -- breakfast is DIY with great sunflower bread available (along with a variety of jams, butter, oats, and anything else you might want. Full-size fridge for guests to use. I really appreciated that the business is environmentally-friendly (composting, recycling).
Disliked: The walls are a little thin -- Flame and Raven actually do have a stock of earplugs available in the kitchen but I didn't see them till the next morning.

Pricey for sharing a bathroom
Liked: Nice people.
Disliked: Shared bathroom. Showed up in the list of hotels on TripAdvisor without any real relationship with an hotel.

Not for us!
Liked: Contact with other guests.
Disliked: Five guests (although could have been six) sharing a single bathroom/toilet. Dining table only seats four people so all guests can't eat at the same time. Similarly unable to prepare breakfast until others had ,finished cooking - and washed the cooking utensils. Only three easy chairs in lounge area for up to six guests.

Comfortable in every way
Liked: Loved the sustainability of the home! The house was filled with beautiful art, lots of plants, and everything was clean and tidy. Plenty of things in the kitchen to use like coffee makers and pots/pans, and organic breakfast foods/fruits, and coffees/teas were provided! The bathroom and bedroom were comfortable and accommodating. I also loved the cat and the different color themes of the rooms~
