Decent accommodation but not what I expected from a Marriot brand

Liked: Room was clean. Bathroom was nice. Towels were thick
Disliked: My room was at the front over the entrance and there were only shear curtains over the windows so a lot of outside light was coming into my room. I prefer it dark for sleeping. Also could hear the road noise Tissues were terrible. When I blew my nose, it immediately disintegrated where it was wet. No good at all. I didnt find the pillows very comfortable.

Disliked: Room had a bad smell, also found small amount if blood in one of the duvet covers and had to go to the desk to get it changed. Room also looked quite battered up and in the bathroom, the walls looked dirty. Didn't feel comfortable at all because of these issues. We also used the pool area. Very bad smell. The whirlpool wasn't working so think smell was coming from there and some of the floor vents. The pool also looked and felt dirty. Couldn't smell any chlorine and the water looked slightly cloudy. Chose this hotel partly for the pool, so was disappointing. Also lots of ware and tare around pool area. Not very clean at all. Breakfast was passible. We have stayed here before a while ago and it was a lot nicer and well maintained. Likely won't go and stay here again in the future.
