Now a hostel for migrants....
Liked: On my arrival, the site security guard was very friendly and kindly informed my companions and I, very politely, that the place had been closed for months in order to house immigrants. He also suggested some other hotels nearby.
Disliked: Up until the day before, I was still not aware of the hotel's closure, their last email being to say the hotel was looking forward to welcoming me the next day!

value for money - know...
Liked: what had been renovated in the room was nice
Disliked: the bathroom needs to be replaced, it was clean but stained from how old it was.

Terrible hotel and stay, young...
Liked: The walk on the river was nice. Room and breakfast were ok. Parking was good.
Disliked: The fact that both lifts hadn't been working for 2 weeks and they did not tell us about that at the point of booking or before the visit, and the goods lift was behind the scenes and a horrible long convoluted disgusting walk to get to it. Hence we had to use the fire escape stairwell all the time which was a ugly cold brick steel concrete construction, and we both had a bad back and did not help our stay. Most of the staff were young and inexperienced but helped the best they could.

absolute disaster where our safety...
Disliked: my husband is in a wheelchair - lift was out of action and had to use a disgusting service lift which could only fit one person at a time - was put on 3rd floor ( top floor) a further 3 people were in our party were registered disabled also on third floor - if there was a fire we were trapped ! rooms were disgusting breakfast

Not customer friendly - cancelled...
Liked: When I booked through 2 different partners they linked the bookings. The price which included breakfast.
Disliked: 2 night stay booked with different agents. Night 1 Sat 21st hotel cancelled accommodation (due to overbooking) with 2 days notice! They expected us to travel from the Highlands to stay on evening2. Not customer friendly whatsoever could not negotiate or speak with management. Reservation Team advised to CANCEL all (no exceptions) even although Night 2 was cross referenced and confirmed back in April!!

Bad
Disliked: It was dirty, it stunk of smoke. The lift wasn’t working and there seemed to be no evidence of anyone fixing it. So there was lots of elderly people having to use the stairs. They were clearly struggling up and down. In the stairwell it was filthy with old dirty mattresses up against the wall. The desk in my room was covered in dust. The mattress was rock hard. The hotel was really noisy with guests coming and going at all hours of the night. The hallway smelled of smoke and when I asked the reception they said they would send house keeping to check. The breakfast was terrible quality. All cheap meats that tasted like frying oil.
