A little disappointed

Liked: The owner was very nice but there was no breakfast and the grounds looked like it was not being taken care of quite as much as I would have expected. The bathtub was amazing and my room was comfortable.
Disliked: I think it just needs to be kept better. Felt like it was not cared for as I would expect but if you just want a place to sleep it works.

Liked: Beautifully decorated room and bathroom. Friendly check in and very kindly mailed back an item that was accidentally left behind.

Exceptional

Liked: Jalal is a host par excellence! We got ourselves into a bit of bother when going back to English Country Garden to retrieve some belongings that we left behind and he went out of his way without hesitation to help us when we got stranded in the Cape Breton wilderness. The stay at English Country Garden was very comfortable and Heike and Jalal were very welcoming hosts, offerring great advice on things to do, where to eat, etc.
Disliked: Nothing. Excellent cafes were not far away.
