Historic inn with all rooms...

Liked: Staff very friendly and accommodating
Disliked: Not the property but we unknowingly booked during St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Found enormous crowds (surprisingly well behaved) and most stores shut down. Of course the room was full boat price. That’s all on us so I’d recommend for anyone not into crowds and St. Patrick’s avoid Savannah during this time.

A charming, historic place to...

Liked: If you like history, this 1847 house is the perfect place to stay in Savannah: a beautifully appointed inn with friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff, located on the prettiest street in the city. Our pretty room faced the garden courtyard and covered portico where a sumptuous breakfast was served each morning, and appetizers and desserts were offered in the parlor in the afternoons and evenings.
Disliked: Nothing! The Eliza Thompson House suited us perfectly for touring Savannah's historic district.

Liked: The idea of having the “happy hour” with wine and some cocktail is fantastic. A very nice experience: sharing the touristic info/experience with the other guests. i would definetely recommend this inn!

Charming, friendly, romantic, great location...

Liked: The breakfast room was warm and cozy on a rainy morning. Friendly staff were helpful and engaging. The night before when we got caught in a downpour we were given towels and glasses of sherry by the fire.
Disliked: Nothing...from beginning to end it was simply wonderful.

Wonderful!

Liked: We loved staying close to Forsyth Park and many local bars and restaurants. We were away from the hustle and bustle of the city market and river market area which we enjoyed. The history of the Eliza Thompson House is fascinating. Our bed was super comfortable too! Every evening we went to the "parlor" and spent time with other travelers - chatting and enjoying hors d'oeuvers and wine. It was such fun and we would stay here again!

Disliked: Sometimes it was a little cold for me at breakfast. Maybe more heaters were needed.

Exceptional

Liked: The staff was so helpful and always friendly cheerful. Meeting the other guests and the par for wine or dessert in the evening gave each of us an idea to trade ideas on what to see the next day. Overall great experience
Disliked: The breakfast area was a little cool in the mornings it would be nice to have blower heaters instead of radiant
