It was a lovely quiet...
Liked: It was warm, private and comfortable.
There was plenty of hot water.
The bed was comfortable as well.
Disliked: The bed requires a larger size of sheets; flannel would be be awesome in the cooler months.

we loved the beach and...
Liked: We enjoyed the one bedroom suite and the room it allowed us to have our daughter come and visit. The beach was great. Saw lots of star fish and other sea creatures.
Disliked: The unit had a smell, maybe an old motel smell. Also there were 104 stairs to the ocean. My husband counted them. We were not aware of this before arriving.

All was well and we...
Liked: Good location, great staff, beautiful view, nice room, comfortable and clean, a bit smaller than expected but overall very good.
Disliked: All was well, except the credit card machine would not work and we had to pay cash. This was inconvenient but we managed.

Very nice owners for this...
Liked: We arrived and left by kayak which proved challenging. On the positive side, the owners and their son were terrific. The son even helped us get our boat back to the water when we left. There had been a bit of a communication issue about where to leave our boat but all was managed.
The room was large and had a decent kitchenette. The bathroom could use some upgrading but it met our needs. We were happy with our stay.
Disliked: We expected the Edgewater Motel to actually be on the edge of the water and not on the top of a cliff overlooking the water. We had checked Google Earth and Google maps and we now know the fuzzy thing we thought was a beach was the cliff. The lesson to us here is that we should always phone and ask. Since we were arriving and leaving by kayak (we did note this in a message to the motel), our arrival and departure were challenging. We left our boat at the bottom of the cliff and carried our gear up the 104 steps. The motel is quite far from restaurants and shops. Fortunately, a very kind friend of the owners drove us to a diner in Black Creek so that we could buy a few things. We could have easily managed with what we had but it was nice to get some take-out and relax.
