Poor management decision

Liked: We have stayed at this hotel twice before, this was to be our 3rd visit but due to unexpected car trouble we could not make the 7 hour trip. The previous times were good as the hotel is clean
Disliked: We knew the hotel policy about cancelation but thru booking.com tried for some leniency. The hotel manager stuck to the policy. When calling the hotel directly, we were told to go thru booking.com.. no reply to booking.com either, from the hotel. Needles to say , we won't be booking again at this hotel! A little goodwill gesture would have re-booked for our re-schedule visit for May 27. We now are looking for accommodation elsewhere in Gatineau
