Elevators were a huge problem; ended up taking the stairs from the 12th floor a lot.
Liked: The room was modern and clean; perfect for two people; bed was comfortable; one woman specifically at the front desk was friendly and kind.
Disliked: The hotel's internet and cable were down. Evening 1, the gentleman told us it would be fixed the next day. When we called the front desk the next day we were told it'd been down for a week and would continue to be down as they were having a problem. Not that this had any hindrance on our trip. It would have been nice to know for one and two been told upon asking.

Liked: The room was very clean, and the staff was polite and helpful. The location is great. The area is generally safe, and there is no street noise in your room. I will definitely stay in this hotel in the future.

You get what you pay for. For a place to sleep and keep your stuff, this is the place for you. If you want luxury, it definitely is not.
Liked: Very hospitable and friendly service.
Disliked: Incredibly hot. Elevators take forever and are very small.

For my first overnight in New York City this hotel was comfortable.
Liked: Friendly staff; great location; easy access to metro,
Disliked: Room heater was a bit noisy.

The location was great, Central...
Liked: The staff was accommodating. We had to leave a day early because our Amtrak reservations were cancelled due to the heavy rains from the hurricane about to hit the area we were traveling to. However, thankfully we were able to leave a day early without any penalty & without any resistance. That meant a lot to us and says a lot about their policy. The downside was, we missed the play, Come From Away. We'll catch it the next time we travel to NYC.
Disliked: The hot water for the shower took a while to warm up. The hotel could use a rehab/upgrades. As a property manager, the deferred maintenance shows and can make it challenging for the staff. But no one ever complained, they always had a smile and a good morning face all day! The selection of toiletries needs to be better.

Budget Hotel in a Great...

Disliked: It is 50 degrees and they have no blanket or quilts on the beds......just sheets.

Great if you're working at...
Liked: Front desk Anthony changed my room immediately when I complained about no WiFi or Hotspot access - the room was in a rear corner alley/canyon and was not good for a business traveler.
Disliked: That they would put a business traveler in a room with lousy internet reception and a cel phone hole.. Sloooooooooow elevators

Hotel ok but too much...
Liked: The bed was comfortable.
Disliked: I have been charged two times for my stay. Once when I booked and when I checked in. I told the clerk that I was charged already but she said to wait until two or three days after I left and the money would be credited. They only credited me for one night. And booking.com was told I was a no show but I have the receipt that I checked in.
