One night stopover

Liked: Village is lovely. Some nice walks. Most staff very friendly. Hotel peaceful and quiet overnight. Very hot weather and rooms were allocated on the shady side, which was helpful, although a fan would have been better still. Room quite clean and comfortable. Pub food was fine.
Disliked: Very difficult to cross the busy main road. Armchair in the room was really grubby.

Great staff , accommodation needs...

Liked: It’s position near to the village and the old canal siding . Upon arrival a member of staff said someone would be along to check us in. A young man hussain(?) was just coming on shift and cheerfully checked us in . We ate in the restaurant for dinner food was good with an imaginative menu .once again Hussain was very helpful and obtained some milk for us old folks to have a cup of tea in our room.
Disliked: Well it pains me to say but the pub itself is not too bad , few new chairs wouldn’t go amiss . But the staff coped well as the place was full. As for our room not so good . The accommodation is round the back of the building and it is all in a sorry looking state. Our room was large and clean but on opening the bathroom door it was clear to see much work is needed to bring it up to a decent standard.i even stepped out of the bathroom and trod on the bare gripper rod by the door!!
