Liked: The hotel is gorgeous in its glorious setting. The staff at reception and the bar are really helpful and friendly! Wonderful bed and a beautifully decorated, comfortable room.The deluxe room with a view to a grey, gloomy wall for that price... HmmmThe private dining with two main courses I chose but couldn't finish both... HmmmThe worst thing is, that the deposit (pardon me, it's a few thousand pounds!!!), which was taken from my card during check-in, hasn't been returned a month later!... Hmmm.

Lovely hotel, superb location, enjoyable...

Liked: Superb location. Great food and friendly staff. We were both pleased to be put in the same room we had last september. We hope to visit again.
Disliked: Perhaps understandably being midweek, the hotel did not appear busy so the ambience suffered a bit.
