Very noisy in hallway, dark...

Disliked: I was at the end of the hall, where the side door was, high traffic noisy area where door kept slamming by people, sitting area right outside my room / that door, people gathered there to drink & socialize, parents let kids set out toys & games in hallway, run up & down the hallway, people called back & forth to each other in the hallway, the hallway was like a playground 1/2 the time and a night club the other half. Staff was passive and didn’t want to deal with it, just said to me that it wasn’t quiet hours yet - not 10pm yet. I thought the worst was going to be that the room is small & narrow, and with the dark grey walls, carpet & furniture, and the limited lighting, I was feeling a bit claustrophobic & also low mood as soon as I entered the room. They were trying to look modern & monochromatic, but instead it was dark & dingy, made the room look & feel smaller. There were stains on the seat of the old desk chair. Room also had a bit of a dank or musty dusty smell, although it appeared to be clean… needs a deep, spring clean & airing out. No wonder for the “cheap deal”, probably the worse room in the worst location of the… hotel.

Overall I would stay there...

Liked: Easy access, just out of city centre, quiet, clean and reasonable priced.
Disliked: Not much for parking and spots are small
