An absolute treat!
Liked: Breakfast was such an experience, being personally cooked for you by a lovely chef in an open kitchen, whilst you sit in the homely farmhouse style breakfast room. First Class.
Disliked: Nothing. I arrived at 6pm the day the hotel went into Tier 3. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. I even managed to phone a little bar order ahead, so it was waiting for me in my luxurious room, whereupon I was served roomservice. The bed was sooooooo big! I loved everything to be honest.

Liked: Friendly staff, comfortable quiet room, good food and wine
Disliked: Dark decor in room and restaurant seemed a little odd at first but I got used to it! Menu choice rather limited for a non-red meat eater like me (and would have been very difficult for vegetarians) - all food seemed to be served with chips and coleslaw - no veg. Nevertheless, the food was very good!

A comfortable stay and a...
Liked: Champany Inn is located just outside of Linlithgow by car and is ideal for trips to Edinburgh and Glasgow by motorway, or by train from Linlithgow.
It's also a good base for seeing all three bridges at South Queensferry. The Neuks of Fife, with their small harbours and nice coffee shops, are definitely a lovely day trip.
Disliked: We arrived during Covid 19 so the comfortable seating area was not open, which was understandable.
