Liked: The room was clean and quiet. I liked the fridge and the strip of paper that let me know the toilet had been sanitized and the little placards around the room that had said the room had been sanitized, too. The space in the room was nice. The bathroom makeup mirror was a *chefs kiss*. The brown-haired front desk woman (I don't know your pronouns, sorry!). You were incredibly nice, thank you!
Disliked: I ordered delivery from UberEats and was told by my driver that he couldn't come up to my floor and drop it off--I'm assuming the elder blonde-haired woman who was acting as a stand-in for the Guardian from Dark Souls relayed this to him. If you absolutely felt it necessary to verify him for being a delivery person that's one thing, but don't ASSUME everyone's in to squat at the hotel and cause trouble. It *is* in a crummy location, I will admit. I don't even understand the reasoning for not letting him come up because it was supposed to be CONTACTLESS AND LEFT AT THE DOOR. We are STILL in a pandemic. I thought this was pretty ignorant. This should be ANOTHER THING MENTIONED BEFORE CHECKING SOMEONE IN. The fire escapes seem to only go outdoors--and you can't even go out without the alarm sounding (me and another guest on the stairs found that out). There seems to be one entrance and it is at the front of the hotel. No breakfast or mention of breakfast being canceled--understandable, but a mention would be nice to know what's going on at the property. There is NO CABLE TELEVISION. There's only SATELLITE TELEVISION. I watching old Star Trek for most of the night and INFOMERCIALS, which is TERRIBLE for the price of the hotel stay per night (I understand it varies from time to time). My stay was in the price range of $70-$80. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU LIKE WATCHING CABLE or bring a HDMI cord that hooks up to your laptop and the TV. There are no charger ports near the bed at all, which is pretty inconvenient for a hotel that probably does a bunch of business with businessmen and other professionals. Not a big issue, but the view towards the back of the hotel where the veranda is is atrocious. There's like, junk below. A floor lamp was missing a bulb or two. It wouldn't turn on.

Liked: Some of the staff were extremely friendly and nice. Others not nice or friendly.
Disliked: From the start...should have tried to get a refund...5 or 6 used needles laying in parking lot, room dingy, floor sticky, cig butts in window sills, burn holes in carpet and furniture. Told I would receive a 30% discount, DID NOT!! WORST HOTEL EVER!!!

Very good

Liked: The property was clean, a little dated, but it was fine for two days day.
Disliked: Well no fault of the staff or ownership but there was no restaurant available. That was due to the crazy governor of Michigan and her overreaction to the Covid panic

Customer Service

Liked: When u want customers to return to your business you provide friendly inviting service and apologize for the absence of the amenities while the cost is still almost $100 a night. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Hotel was dark and sketchy, I did not feel comfortable or safe going to and from room. I stay in Lansing every couple of weeks and I will not stay at Causeway again.
Disliked: The atmosphere was dark and gloomy. Did not make me feel safe and comfortable. Did not understand why the bar was closed when bars all over town were open even with Covid still around.
