Great location, comfortable room, very...
Liked: Great location very close to the main high street, with all the bars, eatery's, shops etc. The hotel was beautiful and eclectically decorated. Our room was comfortable and very quiet. We saw no staff so cannot comment on them, they use an app for you to be able to access your room. This was a little confusing for us and didn't help that were had a UK mobile phone, which made contact a little difficult. But it all worked out in the end and we were able to access our room without any problems, although slightly strange not see anyone. Enjoyed our two night stay, rained the whole time but found a great piano bar (Tin Pan Alley) for both evenings, good staff, great music and good food.
Disliked: Slightly odd not to see any staff but didn't really cause a problem for us.

Beautiful, central location.
Liked: Nice little touch to have some wine and cheese available in the lounge the night I arrived. And same for the other guests. Very nice touch.

Corporate takeover of a beautiful...
Liked: I stayed here a couple of years ago when it was Carpe Diem and I loved it, that's why I reserved again. The location is great and the property is lovely. Sean, the man who responded to my calls while I was there, was very helpful and kind.
Disliked: The room was not perfectly clean when I checked in, there were hairs and soap scum on the sink and it didn't look like the floor had been vaccumed. There was half a roll of toilet paper in the room for my 6 night stay. No one ever came into the room after the third day to take towels or bring new toilet paper. I sent a text but received no response. My room key stopped working on the 5th day and I had to wait outside for 15 mins after midnight before someone came to help.
