Pleasant

Liked: I liked the staff and location
Disliked: It is getting very old no screens on the slider doors and there were many mosquitoes so you couldn't get air. need new curtains and update. The doors to the rooms are very old and made me feel unsafe. My friend and I have stayed here before but I think this will be our last time.

It was most satisfying.

Liked: The rustic feeling, and the location just off Highway 1 were good. The setting on the river is peaceful, and everything is clean and well-taken care of.
Disliked: Nothing.

Meh.

Disliked: When we checked in around 3pm we were greeted by a very happy, helpful and professional individual. She mentioned the river behind the hotel was stagnant and we didn't really think much of it. Dropped our luggage in our room and left for the evening. Returned around 9pm and the room felt like a sweat lodge. It is the middle of August and the thermometer showed 83 degrees. Couldn't find an A/C unit so we went to open the slider door. No screen door. Not sure how were supposed to cool down the room with no screen door and a stagnant river 10 feet away. Mosquitos much?! Spoke with the person at the front desk who informed me that none of the rooms have screen doors, so that you can leave the slider open. Strange. They also said they never get complaints about the temp of the room or that there are no screen doors or A/C. I doubt that's true. Anyway, they did allow us to move to a room that was attached to the hotel's laundry area. I was then notified that they would likley be doing laundry late into the night the next day. Since general area was already booked and it's a 7 hour trip home we decided to stay. Considering we were charged $250 a night, there's no way to cool a room down and the decor is straight out of the 70's I dont recommend this place. The fact that the person who first checked us in was very pleasant and the room was clean made the stay just OK.

Quiet and comfortable place to...

Liked: The bed was large and very comfortable. The only downside for me was that they don?t have air conditioning. Fortunately, it was too hot. This would be a place to stay in transit or if you will primarily be out all the time enjoying other activities and just wanted a comfortable place to sleep at night.
Disliked: Like I said, they didn?t have air conditioning. They also don?t serve breakfast.

Disliked: Coffee was a bit bitter. Other than that it is wonderful.

Pleasant

Liked: The property was in a great location. We will definitely return.
Disliked: The construction on the property and next to our cottage was disappointing. The room was very stuffy and hot when we arrived.

Good

Liked: Nice location by river. Friendly helpful desk staff.
Disliked: No screens on sliding glass door facing river. So room was stuffy unless you opened door and then also let bugs in. Only screened window was in bathroom. Also we were on 1st floor, so upstairs guests walking on floor seemed more noisy than expected (though desk staff advised this might happen).
