Hotel Description
Located near the city's baseball stadium and offering free Wi-Fi the Capitol Skyline Hotel is a hit with Our guests who are fans of fun and funky mid-century modern decor. With 203 rooms on seven floors this 1961 hotel was treated to a head-to-toe makeover in 2009. The lobby is a welcome surprise with South Beach-style furnishings in eye-catching shades of red and orange. The lounge continues the theme with its low-slung leather couches intended for kicking back. The sunny outdoor pool large enough to host Olympic events is a perfect place to cool off during the summer months - as is the poolside bar. Accommodations are designed for work and play with both a spacious desk and a flat-panel TV. Complimentary Wi-Fi in the rooms and public areas means you can stay connected. Nationals Park home of the Washington Nationals baseball team is four blocks south. Arena Stage one of the country's best regional theaters is five blocks west. The U.S. Capitol is a 20-minute walk and the National Air and Space Museum is about 25. The Navy Yard and Waterfront stations of D.C.'s speedy Metro system are both three blocks away so you can reach more far-flung attractions in no time. Because the hotel has easy access to the highway - I-95 is a block north - you can drive the five miles to Ronald Reagan National Airport in about 12 minutes.

Kim, Carlisle, visiting Union Stage Washington Wed, 8 May 2019

No amenities other than the usual; no free continental breakfast unless you ate in the restaurant in the hotel; additional costs including $35 parking fee in their garage, $100 deposit that was not returned upon check out; could not check into my pre paid hotel room due to I forgot to bring my license when I switched purses had to redo the entire reservation in my boyfriends name they charged him $100 security deposit which he never got back, took over an hour and a half to check in. Very rude staff that cater to the business set. We got this hotel through for half the going rate so my 14 year old could experience DC and her concert at Union Stage. Will not ever return to this hotel or that city for that matter! Not impressed at all by the nation's capital. We will stay in our small country rural town.

Liked: The room was very clean and comfortable with a scenic view.
Disliked: Additional $35 parking fee; additional $100 deposit; couldn't check into the room because I forgot my license; had to redo the entire thing in my boyfriend's name.

Liked: Location was lovely. Not in the middle of the busyness but very close and an wasy walk, car ride, or skooter ride. Staff was extremely helpful and gave us good suggestions of were to go eat and places to explore. Room was a great size and comfy to sleep in. Everything was wonderful
Disliked: The hotel store didnt have tooth brushes, toothpaste, and small necessities which could've been very beneficial for my stay. Found a store down the street that did tho.

Liked: I had a room on the 6th floor. Bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Front desk staff was very friendly and personable.
Disliked: A little further from the center than I would prefer, but is only a few blocks from the Metro station so that made the location alright.

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful. The mattressss are so comfortable, I loved them. Slept really well. Want sure about the location as I hadn?t been to Capitol Sourh and Navy yards before but it?s got lots of bars, cafes and restaurants around the. Actionable stadium. Had a great stay, thanks to all the staff.
Disliked: Didn?t see anything that needed improving.
