This stay was convienient but...

Liked: The room had many amenities including a kitchenette and a large shower.
Disliked: I felt genuinely unsafe at this property, the windows are not secure, there were people outside my window at the pavilion all night the first night of my stay. The kitchen was dirty, there was still food from the previous guests in the fridge. No housekeeping for our room as well, we did not get a knock and our room was never cleaned.

Exceptional

Quiet and clean close to...

Liked: Close to a lovely Downtown and several convenience stores, if you're unable to make your way to one of the local HEB's the nearby gas station is a great place to get some water and snacks for your first night (not that clean but it serves its purpose). The room was clean, no odor, comfy for two people staying for two weeks, great AC and kitchen facilities. Staff was very friendly and quick to assist with fresh towels or remagnetizing cards left next to a phone. Several very nice restaurants are within walking distance but the highway traffic (which IS audible from a facing room but not even louder than the AC), lack of clear crossing places and in my case the heat made an Uber an excellent choice for dining or shopping trips. The outlet mall a few miles away made for a lovely day out and Downtown has several bars and a great donut place.All in all a nice, quiet hotel with great room amenities and nearby venues.
Disliked: The room could have used another chair (one armchair and one dining chair in a room for two people), a sponge or brush for hand-washing dishes and some more utensils in the kitchenette (no big problem, we picked up some plastic spoons and such our first trip to HEB).
