Historic house In Suburbs with...

Liked: Breakfast was excellent, nice clean room and bathroom, near tram routes into Toronto centre.
Disliked: No problems

Positive in general, if you...

Liked: Breakfast was great (but if you want chocolate buns, you need to hurry), and the restaurant downstairs - fantastic both in the looks and Thai food! Good location - close to the metro, in the beautiful neighborhood of colorful villas. The building is beautiful outside and inside, apart from the rooms, which are super small and not comfortable. Unless you have a loft- it is really nice with jacuzzi, but no curtains which could cover you from the light in the morning and others looking into the room...
Disliked: The rooms are super small, it really was 1-person room, not 2. We hardly had space to open the suitcase and had to move it to open the door... Very small window looking at the dirty terrace; it felt claustrophobic in the room. The bathroom also had surprises: the soap constantly falling into the sink because of the wrong profiling and no holder which could help - really annoying. No hot water till we discovered hidden switch - no one told us about it.

Liked: Hotel situated on quiet residential street, midway between 2 main streets, both with bus/trams running frequently. Building is over a 100 years old. Had warm welcome from Glenn and very helpful directions/information on exploring local area and Toronto. Decorated in very quirky style, nothing corporate about it! Tea and coffee freely available in sitting rooms at all times, and best breakfast ever!!! Wonderful choice every day (excellent chef) and the towels in our room were the whitest and softest ever experienced.
