not the 5 starts hotel...
Liked: that you could leave your bag after checkout for free. I appreciated that service when moving to another hotel where they charge you for everything
Disliked: I was sharing the room with 5 more people and the location of the mirrors was wrong, it should be in a common/shared environment where everyone has access, instead, in our room... the bathroom and the only mirror were inside another room with a door, 2 beds and for my bad luck the girls sleeping there stayed late for parties and didnt want us to come in or turn on he light for using the mirror because they "wanted to sleep" whereas myself needed to get ready for a business conference. There should be more mirrors, at least one in each environment, it is A MUST for a woman. It seems they clean every other day as I found nails in the carpet. Also not all the recepcionists, only one in night shift was grumpy and mean. I needed hot water to make myself a tea to take my medicine, 11 pm, and this guy did not let me use the disposable glasses in the coffee shop, whereas the other recepcionists the rest of the days allowed me... so I had to take my medicine with a left over of an icecream (I was not sure I could drink from the sink and not getting ill). I think providing drinking water in emergency and a disposable cup is a nice service for a customer. I appreciated it the rest of the days except my last night with the grumpy recepcionist,

Loved the location, really nice...
Liked: The ensuite bathroom connected to our dorm room was really nice, and even though I was in a 6-bed (female only) room, it felt like a hotel rather than a hostel. The ceilings are high which makes it feel spacious. I really liked the area, lots of eating places and subway stations nearby.
Disliked: Backpackers expecting kitchen facilities are out of luck. There was a little fridge in the room, which was good. It was quite noisy outside through the night, but that's not the hotel's fault. Like they say, NYC is the city that never sleeps.

Simple but great hostel, very...
Liked: Simple, but super spacious and clean for a hostel! Big bathroom available per 6 people, and clean towels daily, which was great. Cleanliness and comfort were much better than expected and way better than in most hostels. Located close to the subway.
Disliked: People were not interested to meet/talk at all - the social vibe of a hostel was totally missing. But, the 'meeting area' was also not very inviting to chill there so nobody stayed there. Rooms have a very limited number of sockets, if your in the top bed of bunker beds you don't have one next to your bed so have to charge in the bathroom.

Staff made it unpleasant
Liked: The room and view was amazing. For one night a quick and affordable place to stay is hard to find .
Disliked: The staff was unhelpful and rude . The lady at the front desk was very ill mannered and impatient . It made my stay there unpleasant as she wasn't as helpful as I hoped . I phoned the day before and no answered the phones for hours.
