Derek A, Rainham. Kent., visiting Aldwych Theatre London

Overall we were very pleased with the hotel. It's location for shopping and the theatres was excellent. We would use the hotel again and recommend it.

Liked: Clean and presentable hotel; very helpful staff; comfortable bed and pillows.
Disliked: We found the heating for the room not very efficient, despite being up at maximum; the vents on the system were dirty, broken and not adjustable.

Great value for money in...

Liked: Great price considering breakfast was Included and the location was amazing. I arrived there early and could leave my bags in reception until I could check in, this allowed me to go explore in the meantime. Location is great with tubes nearby and Euston station about at 10-15 min walk. Right around the corner from the British Museum. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast room is small, which they do state to guests, so getting to breakfast early is a good idea. Decent selection for breakfast, better than what I expected - a range of hot and cold food. Room was cozy but clean, smart tv, en suite, comfy beds. I was on the lower ground, so could sometimes hear footsteps above me but nothing too disrupting. Plug sockets next to bed which is handy and a floor length mirror.
Disliked: Was on lower ground with a window where people were often walking past, so kept my curtains closed for most of the stay, however it did have a netted curtain so keeping curtains closed isn't necessary, it was more just my preference.

Compact, bijou, central, friendly. I’d...

Liked: Great location, very friendly staff. Stayed 2 nights, in 2 different rooms, one basement, one top floor. Both compact and a little quirky but nicely decorated - thoughtful use of the space. Good en suites, clean comfy beds. Had everything I needed. Nice tea, biscuits, kettle, hairdryer etc. I would stay here again.
Disliked: Nothing but visitors need to accept this is an old building - it’s not cavernous modern air-conditioned rooms!

Very good

Liked: The triple room was quite spacious and had all the necessary amenities. Housekeeping was done daily. The breakfast was modest but absolutely sufficient for us. The hotel's location was excellent — just a few minutes' walk from the British Museum and the Zoological Museum. The metro station was nearby, and it was only a couple of stops to the city center. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
Disliked: There was no air conditioning in the room, and the heat during our stay was truly abnormal. It was very stuffy inside, and a single fan running constantly didn’t help much. :(

Pleasant... but some improvements needed

Liked: Pleasant staff and great location.
Disliked: The room was hot and a bit stuffy. Would be nice to have a better ventilation installation
