Disliked: HiInteresting why you have sent this as you know the booking was mutually cancelled as The Tollgate could not accommodate our booking as they didn’t have sufficient staff on duty after 10:30pm which was when we would have returned from London & therefore had to source alternative accommodation later that evening.We are not impressed & recommend strongly that this detail is expressed in the Tollgate terms and conditions of checking in We felt let down & frustrated at them not having told us prior.I doubt that Best Western hotels are aware of this fact Yours disappointedlyMrs Lisa Killip

Liked: Everything was spotlessly clean, and we received a very warm welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a good choice of breakfast to suit every taste. There was plenty of private parking, and I loved that we didn't have to walk miles along corridors or up and down stairs. The room was close to reception, breakfast etc.

Lovely venue, useful for exploring...

Liked: The highlight of the hotel by far was the staff - pleasant, friendly, very accommodating and all willing to try to help wherever possible. The hotel itself is quiet and in a beautiful village, with a nice pub and an Indian restaurant a few hundred yards away.
Disliked: In our room, apart from some overhead lights on the bed, the lights were either full on or off - reading lights, or desk lights would have been useful. The full complement of towels weren't there when we arrived, nor mugs for tea. A small quibble, not something that bothered us very much.
