Good, convenient but pricey.

Liked: The hotel boasts a great central location, within easy walking distance of all downtown attractions, making it perfect for exploring the city. Secure parking beneath the hotel added extra convenience and peace of mind. Upon arrival, the staff were exceptionally friendly safeguarding our luggage and was well-informed about the area, offering helpful tips and a warm welcome. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of space for luggage, and included thoughtful amenities such as a tea kettle and a Nespresso coffee maker.
Disliked: The kitchen staff's attention to cleanliness and food handling needs work, as some “cleaned” dishes were still dirty, and bread that had been dropped was returned to the serving basket, which raised hygiene concerns. Although breakfast was good, it was very busy and at times overcrowded. Additionally, the check-in experience was disappointing as the room was not ready at the confirmed time, and we had to wait an hour. Overall, the staff could be more consistently friendly and customer-focused to enhance the guest experience. While the central location is convenient, it comes at a price. The rate felt quite high for just a one-night stay.

Liked: The location of Gouda Hotel is very near to the Marktplatz and to the town hall. Breakfast was Super delicious and the Hotel staff are very friendly. We will come back again to this hotel.
Disliked: a bit pricey but overall, nice and very convenient, like Busses, tourist spots and a lot of restaurants nearby

Welll located comfortable hotel.

Liked: Good comfortable room. One of inly few we stayed in in the Netherlands with a fridge in the room. Short walk to cheese market and city crntre
Disliked: Shower wasn’t behind a closed door as a group this meant we had to make sure we weren’t moving around as others showered.

Great location, beautiful rooms and...

Liked: Great location for a short walk into the main part of town, with a convenient parking option next door. Our two year old loved the view - watching the boats up and down the canals and the bridges moving. Beautiful rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely breakfast
Disliked: Our room wasn’t super clean, like maybe they’d cleaned in a hurry and not quite paid attention to detail (for example - there were streaks of hair on the floor, likely left by the mop)
