Liked: Location was good. Cleanliness was good. Staff was nice.
Disliked: Pool was empty. Hot water in shower was very erratic and jumped from hot to cold and back to hot without a reason. This happened during every shower.

Liked: I was happy the room had A/C and that the hotel was near areas we wanted to go to.
Disliked: The front desk was rude and only had one person working when there was a line out the door. The surrounding area was close to everything but is located in a shady area.

Disliked: The room decor is not cozy and privacy limited due to large front windows and poorly fitted curtains. Outlet and heat did not work.

Liked: We stayed here for three nights at the start of our 18-day road trip. It wasn?t the best start to our dream holiday. The hotel is very loud - our two bedroom ?suite? looked out into a central courtyard and also a side road where there were drunken fights and shouting throughout the first night. We then created a soundproof barrier with towels and pillows to ensure we, and our three children, could sleep. The hotel is sadly located next to an area with a high number of homeless people, with many obvious drug problems. We stumbled into this on our first night which was scary and upsetting for the children. The rooms are ok, and cleaned regularly and well. But I wouldn?t rush back.

More boutique than chain, comfortable...

Liked: Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Rooms were large for such a central location. It felt more "boutique" than chain but with generously sized rooms. Housekeeping staff was excellent. Our pullout bed was a bit wonky but the first day it we found it had been repaired without us asking. The pool was heated and was a huge bonus.
Disliked: The pool closed at 9:00PM which is quite early for anyone maximizing their daytime tour schedule. There was no easy/affordable food or convenience store/grocer within easy walking distance. No room service but restaurants were happy to deliver. Towels at the pool would be a great improvement.

The hotel's location is great...

Liked: Great location for the purpose of this particular business trip. The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good for breakfast or for dinner, if you don't want to go very far. Since my last stay here, the quality of the wifi is much improved. This is so important if you're a business traveller. I also appreciate the effort they make to keep the property clean and tidy. The laundry facilities are a total bonus if you're on a long trip. Great idea.
Disliked: The reception staff never seem to be smiling when you enter - very "matter-of-fact" about greeting you when you walk in, or not greeting you at all. We had one incident with the receptionist that checked us in. One of my colleagues locked himself out and a little battle ensued as she typed in his name and the room number he gave and she insisted that he was not registered at the hotel. He came to get me to help resolve the issue and it turned out that he was actually registered to another room - and so was another colleague. She clearly mixed up the keys when she gave them to us for the rooms, but insisted that we simply all exchanged keys and did whatever we wanted to do. It baffles me that even though he brought his ID downstairs, she never thought to simply enter his name and see that he was actually a registered guest and there was a simple misunderstanding. She instead created a totally unnecessary drama which took us almost a half hour to resolve.
