Baymont by Wyndham Kalamazoo East, Kalamazoo

My overall review of Baymont By Wyndham Kalamazoo East is poor. Don't waste your money; spend an extra 25 bucks and stay in something better.

Liked: Ease of checking in.
Disliked: The room was so small I felt as if I slept in a closet and the water from sink and shower came out brown. Also you could see the light of day under our rather crappy door. Only one bath towel per person and they were very thin. At 8:30 am there was nothing left to eat except the very small muffins that were dry.

One night stay; quiet; did not take advantage of free breakfast - slept in. Very accommodating with early check in and late check out. Staff very friendly!

Liked: Close to the venue and easy to get to off the highway.
Disliked: Bathroom not as clean as I would prefer. Vent needed cleaning and there was hair throughout.

Liked: Awesome pillows, mini fridge and microwave.
Disliked: The air/heater made a funny smell.

Bad

Liked: Very dirty nasty. The vent in the bathroom was hanging down the toilet went flush, etc..

HORRIBLE

Disliked: Dirty, people living out of vehicles in the parking lot, rolled up cigarettes in my room, staff arguing calling each other "crack heads", smoke detector disabled in my room

Disliked: Place is not as it looks in pictures. Very dirty and smells bad. There was cats walking on ledges windows open on third floor with people smoking. The elevator is so dirty door doesn't open all the way. Our key to open door wouldn't work had to make 3 trips to front desk to get it to work. Beds look sunk in with next to no pillows. Furniture so beat up. We found needles on floor in hallway. When we asked to see manager we were told he is here somewhere work but she didn't know where. Never did get to speak to him. There is a brand new hotel across the street AVId its cheaper cleaner 110% nicer and staff is so much friendly. Save yourself the time go there don't stay at this Baymont it needs shutdown for safety and health reasons.

Disliked: couldn’t sleep all night running in hallway then someone pulled fire alarm and then couldn’t use the bathroom because the toilet paper holder and only 4 small baby pillows on a king bed very very cold no heat through out the building very run down and old and beat up pitbulls out the lobby trying to get at me a little bit cats in windows very disgusting not pleasant to see very bad marijuana smell staff was not friendly management didn’t want to offer any sort of reimbursement for this and also we got there late after 12 am in the morning and they wouldn’t let us extend the stay after there was an option to request it upon booking and the door wouldn’t lock no outlets near bed

Disliked: The first room the gave me was dirty and taken apart the second room was not very clean and the sona tub was half full of water nasty water and not even working then refused to refund the money
