Liked: Quiet, peaceful location. Polite and helpful staff on arrival. Lovely rooms with extra touches eg good quality bathroom cosmetics.
Disliked: We didn’t have a full complement of tea/coffee/biscuits. Lots of ladybirds in the room!!

Liked: Comfortable hotel in lovely grounds. We are regular guests and the staff had very kindly accommodated our room preferences.
Disliked: Only that the food and drinks are too pricey (unless the meals are included as part of a deal).

Liked: The staff was lovely, I got there late I thought the bar was still open but was shut and they made me sandwich last minute even the kitchen was shut it was lovely smoke salmon sandwich. The hotel is beautiful old meets new. The bed very comfortable and very quiet not like most hotels can hear next door I slept like a baby just what I need it. Lots options for breakfast and very nice pastries

Lovely grounds!

Liked: Grounds beautiful. Bedroom, compact, but adequate and beds comfortable. Dog friendly yes! At a cheeky price. Dinner OK and bar service great. Brilliant shower and lovely fluffy towels. All going really well...... But hotel was woefully let down by breakfast. Inflated price for very skimpy 6 squares of fresh fruit and two scoops of yoghurt, in jars, no fresh baked anything, although croissants and fresh baked goods heralded on the breakfast menu and the worst cooked English we have ever seen, or tried to eat! Ran out of the help yourself coffee! Then served a supposedly fresh coffee on request, served in a brimming cup, but "being difficult", had to ask for the saucers! Sliced shop bread to put in the toaster, was OK, ish! Staff were embarrassed and saved the day with their charm, but really Barnet Hill F and B, not good enough for your guests or your staff.
Disliked: Breakfast really let the side down!
