Liked: The location was excellent. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher. Good decor. We had a wonderful week and it was very relaxing and the accommodation was really tastefully done.
Disliked: The entrance slope was a bit slippery and there were some weeds and nettles. The entrance hall smelt damp and this smell could also be found in the bathroom as there was no extractor fan. There were lots of cobwebs and spiders in all rooms, as noted by someone else in a previous review. There are less now as we vacuumed them during our stay! The blind in the main bedroom keep falling down despite us trying to stick it back up several times a day.

Liked: The place was nice, decorated, cosy and relatively comfortable. The staff on the phone were very nice and respectful.
Disliked: The entrance was not nice at all. It was hard to get to the place. Also, the very first corridor, which you can't see online, smells extremely rotten from the humidity and mold. Beside it being very unpleasant and ugly, it's also unhygienic, the mold gets on your skin or inhaled and can cause allergic reactions. The place itself wasn't clean at all either, the floors had a tick layer of dirt built up on them, my white socks turned yellow and then brown in the first 20 min or so of being there. The place was full of huge and visible spider webs, again shows very poor cleaning and poor hygiene. Needed to say that this means nothing was dusted either, there was huge built up of dust on all surfaces that weren't used on daily basis. The kettle had ridiculous amount of green mold inside it. The level of hygiene there is extremely poor, it's a big embarrassed.

Location was great and we...
Liked: The property itself was lovely. Well equipped and the location is brilliant for the town ,castle and gardens all 5 minutes walk away. The tv was good with a good sky package.
Disliked: We had problems obtaing the keys. They were in a key safe but no one gave us the code to open it. No one met us and we had to make several phone calls whilst standing in the rain. We eventually got the code. Make sure you know it before you get there.

Enjoyable stay but with improvements...
Liked: It was a nice appartment well laid out a good overall size and tastefully decorated.Well equiped.located just off the centre of town.
Comfortable beds. A bottle of wine free on arrival which was a nice touch thank you.
Disliked: The entrance hall to the appartment is very shoddy indeed and very damp .In fact at one point we thought we were at the wrong place! and the courtyard/patio area is very poor too. The outer-door isnt great either and isnt hung well so it is difficult to unlock .Real shame as you when you go into the actual accomodation itself, its really nice indeed. Some one had forgot to turn on the hot water system on so no hot water to begin with but this did get sorted quickly. For this standard of accomodation the quality of the bedding and towels is poor.Instructions on how to use some of the appliances would be handy too.

Liked: Nice loft style apartment with good facilities and a comfortable bed. Open plan living room and kitchen. Good location for walking into Alnwick shops and restaurants.
Disliked: Alnwick seemed to be very noisy later at night.
