unique style stay at the...
Liked: great location, comfortable bed, very clean, great coffee shop downstairs
Disliked: The blind couldn't make complete dark. The hotel neon sign was right outside of our room so the room was too bright to sleep. The bedding was too thick for summer though airconditioner was not super cool.

Great location, loved the aesthetics...
Liked: The location was in a great area of the city. It was close to many attractions and great restaurants which made our experience significantly better.
Disliked: Our initial room had the bathroom in a different room meaning that we had to walk out of our room to access it which was uncomfortable and inconvenient. The power also went out in our room and they did not have any maintenance on staff so luckily they upgraded us to a different room with a bathroom in the room which we appreciated. Wish that they had stated that the personal bathroom was not in the room itself beforehand as we found that misleading when we arrived.

Disliked: The bathrooms were pretty grunge. There was mold going up the wall in one corner. And the milk crates that held the towels were filled with lint and dust along the back. The door had finger prints on it for the entire four days.

I enjoyed it through in...
Liked: I think comfort is an understatement when thinking about my experience. The staff were welcoming from the restaurant to the front desk staff (those are folks whom I interacted with, but I'm sure their noteworthy qualities carry through to all employees). What I noticed is an unreserved willingness to accommodate and work with guests, from offering suggestions on how to make the most of the area to doing small print jobs to support their work. I get the sense that those in ownership/management positions seeks to invest in their employees' well-being and professional development--I hope this is the case. Another quality I like is the hotel is historical and there appears to be effort to preserve that aspect while ensuring it is modernized in terms of infrastructure. One suggestion for consideration towards improvement is for management and staff to seek ways they could improve accessibility of their hotel environment so it accommodates folks with movement disability or impairment. Partnering with city or other community stakeholders could be a way to ensure the cost of any upgrades is shared. Needless to say, I enjoyed my stay. I plan to stay again!
