In a quiet location just a short walk from the main seafront and the popular harbor-side area this small family-run hotel offers comfortable en suite accommodations. With just 6 rooms the Abbeyfield offers friendly personal service. Every well-appointed room is en suite with full central heating. Each room has tea/coffee making facilities and Smart TVs allowing guests to watch on demand services such Netflix and Prime. Each room has a fridge restocked daily with fresh milk and filtered water and 1 of the rooms is on the ground floor. Free wireless internet access is available throughout the hotel. The licensed dining room and comfortable lounge are also both located on the ground floor. There is a well-stocked bar and the Abbeyfield also has its own south-facing garden where you can relax on warm summer afternoons or evenings. A choice of a quality cooked breakfast along with homemade bread freshly baked pastries fruit and fresh fruit juice etc. is included in the rate. The Abbeyfield is just 5 minutes from the train station and the Riviera center. The town center and the theater are just a short10-20-minute walk away. Free parking is available for guests with a guaranteed space per room.

We were given a warm...

Liked: The property was lovely. It was open, beautifully decorated and welcoming. We had everything we needed (and a wonderful hostess who checked this daily!). The room was functional as well as beautiful and everything was easily accessed. We loved our stay. We felt very secure and the safe car parking was a huge bonus.

Great stay very clean and...

Liked: Lovely little personal touches, fresh flowers and selection of fruit. Bottled water and fresh milk in the fridge. Great homemade bread to enjoy alongside your choice of breakfast. Free parking on site, room lovely and clean. Overall a pleasurable stay.
Disliked: The location would be a struggle for less mobile people, no problem walking down to the town and harbour but we personally decided to use a taxi as the walk back could be steep at points. We personally felt this room was slightly small for a king room, although this did not spoil our stay.
