Zaytouna Restaurant
From the blue entrance shutters to the colourful tiles, red carpets, velvet low seating, chandeliers and brass-topped tables inside, there’s no more traditional a Moroccan restaurant in central London than Zaytouna. The ground floor is home to a buzzy, music-filled brasserie, above which is a refined, naturally more private, dining room. Another flight of stairs leads to a shisha room where you can puff away in good company, entertained by bellydancers. Just like in a typical Moroccan home, each floor is bright and airy. From a largely traditional menu, we recommend the lamb tagine and the fresh fish platter. Very good selection of Middle Eastern bins on the international wine list. Nice house cocktails too.
